Managing units
Unit records, labels, and virtual numbers.
Overview
A unit is the destination visitors select at the intercom. The unitLabel (e.g. 101, PH-A) must match signage and lease documents exactly.
Common tasks

| Rename a unit | Update unitLabel and notify residents |
| Split / combine | Plan virtual number changes with your integrator |
| Temporarily vacant | Disable resident accounts; keep number routing if lobby rules require |
Virtual numbers
Each unit may reference a virtual number from your carrier pool (Twilio or Telnyx). Before releasing a number:
- Confirm no active leases still reference it.
- Check quarantine windows — numbers may not be immediately reusable.
Your tenant cap is unit count + 5 virtual numbers.
Audits
Export a quarterly unit → number report for security reviews. Store securely — it contains sensitive data.
